Rare decorative reclaimed antique Arts & Crafts dog grate, the copper repoussee fireback depicts typical bifurcating flowers, as does the apron. The handles terminate in delicate W.A.S.Benson style flower heads, all with the original laquered finish. The fine detail of this piece leads us to think that it was made for an exhibition as a decorative item, not as a functional coal burning grate.
