Wonderful Victorian pollard oak chimney-piece, the acanthus carved brackets below the square pilasters support the dental moulded shelf. The frieze is extravagently carved with scrolling acanthus leaves which meet at a central cartouche. The panels are veneered with a fine burr veneers. Possibly made by James Lamb of Manchester. Insert not included.
